Description: A view of the Deep Stream, Otago. The Lammerlaw Range rises up dramatically around the stream as it flows over rocks towards the Taieri River Attached to the back is a letter of authentication by the Curator of the Hocken Library Picture Collection, GH Brown, to the watercolour's then owner, Mr CP McCool, of Palmerston North, dated 15 June 1971 Inscriptions: Recto - bottom right - The Deep Stream near its junction with the Taieri / July 1887 [in ink] Quantity: 1 watercolour(s). Physical Description: Monochrome watercolour, 185 x 277 mm (sight), in mat 275 x 355 mm Provenance: Prior to auction, from the estate of Dr P A and J B Monro, Taupo.
