Description: View from the flagstaff at Russell , with American Consul, James Reddy Clendon's American flag flying, and three people standing at the base of the flagpole, looking out towards the entrance to the Bay of Islands. Clendon's home was at Okiato, but the view of the entrance to the Bay of Islands seems more likely to have been from a high point at Russell.
