Includes the sites of the pilot station and flgstaffs. Names include Te Awa, Whaiangi, N.W. Park. Description: Surveyed cadastral map of Whangaipeke Maori land block, an area of 6222 acres, in the Piopiotea and Maungaku survey districts, southwest of Lake Taupo. Area is bounded by the Wanganui River in the south, the Waipari, Pokaka, and Torakumekume streams in the north, and by Taurewa, Pukepoto, Hohotaka, and Ruamata in the east. Shows survey measurements, rivers (including the Wanganui River), Maori placenames, land block numbers, topographical features, tracks and whare. Description: A copy of a base map of Tongariro timber areas includes state forests and covers the area from the Whakapapa, Wanganui and Taringamutu Rivers to Lake Taupo, Tokaanu and the Waikato River, and the road from National Park to Taupo. A key indicates the ownership by the Crown, Native, Crown & Native, Cut-over, Committed and State Forest, all of which are colour coded. The majority of these forestry blocks are named on the map but some boundaries have been revised and the resulting blocks re-numbered and occasionally named. Some rivers have added tributaries marked. Pencilled annotations include named forestry blocks and their distances from various settlements, blocks reserved from cutting, a site of a proposed communal village. The sites of McKee's Mill and A. Mario's house are marked. The base map includes rivers and streams, main highways and private roads. The Pokaka Timber Company and Ketetahi Smg. Co. are named. Includes the names of Hopkins, Speirs & Winger, C.P. & P.D. Smith, Wier & Kenny, McKee Bros., K.R. Kapoor. A note states that this plan was compiled for reference inspection by S.A.C. Darby, C.T. Description: Cadastral map, with some survey markings, of sections in Puketapu and Hohotaka blocks, approximately four miles east of Taumarunui. Blocks include parts sections within 1b, 2a, 2b, 2d, 2e, 2f, 3b, 3c. Several areas have been highlighted and renumbered over the map before copying, and show acreage. The Pungapunga Stream runs horizontally across the northern section of the map. Several roads are shown, including Whangapuroto and Tokaanu, as is bush, scrub and the Paerata Trig.
