Description: View from a plain with a few soldiers and two dwellings, looking towards an abruptly rising flat-topped hill, with a broad path rising up its right side. The hill is surmounted by a fort, above whose fences tents, other buildings and a flagpole can be seen. There are tents and other temporary-looking buildings to the right of the fort on the hilltop. Compare A196/9, a view taken from almost the same spot by the same artist. Inscriptions: Recto - bottom left - H.M.L.Atcherley / 64; Recto - bottom right - [title.
