Description: Copies of Charles Heaphy's two lithographs of Port Nicholson chiefs in 1839 or 1840, first published in 1845. Wharepouri is on the left, pointing to his left with a mere in his right hand, with a background of Wellington Harbour and the ship Tory. Te Puni is on the right, holding a taiaha in his right hand, with a background of Petone Pa with a White Ensign flag flying, the Western Hills and part of the Harbour A copy of Heaphy's lithograph 'The two head chiefs of Port Nicholson.
