Description: A base map, stamped with Waiohine and Taungata, is of the Tararua range from Rimutaka trig point and Featherston settlement to Mount Holdsworth and Waitatapia Creek has had relief features and triangulations added by W.C. Duncan. Land features are described e.g. knobs, saddles, spurs, ridges and forks (of rivers). Tracks are named, as are huts and camps. Names referred to are: Phillip's Hut, Bassett's Hut, Tudd (Murray's) Hut, Wall's Whare, Baigent's Mill. A telephone is referred to. Signature of W. Duncan on bottom right with a note stating: This map is not to be sold title. Signature of W. Duncan on top left with a note stating: Compiled from Forestry & S.O.
