A blackboard inscribed North Canterbury Board of Education Chairman 1901 is on the left, and to the right are a scroll inscribed Electoral Boundaries Commission, a large volume with Law on its spine and a judge's wig half-hidden behind it, and a drawing of part of Canterbury College (later Canterbury University) The Library has a variant copy of this image published by the Weekly Press in 1902.
