Description: A base map of numbered rural sections with acreages has been used to feature some sections which are colour washed and include owners' names. A.P. Stuart, J.P. Stuart, J.D. Baird & Co., W.B. Rhodes, J. Dransfield. The sum total of these acreages, with monetary cost, is annotated in pencil in the margin. Four sections are outlined and annotated as Bunnythorpe township. A note along the Taonui Creek states that this is good land. A second note in the margin states the site of the township of Feilding. Title supplied from the largest of the parts of two base maps which have been glued together. This main map supplies most of the information, E. Bellairs was the lithographer, H. Jackson the Chief surveyor, but the creator of the annotations is unknown. The second title, Plan of rural sections in the township of Palmerston, District of Manawatu, is on the left and this part of the map has very little detail, W.W.J. Spreat was the lithographer.
