Description: Topographic map of the area from Cape Palliser and Cape Turakirai [sic], the Rimutaka and Tararua Ranges, to the Waituiti and Mataikuna Rivers. Shows runholdings, Maori reserves and lands not purchased, and various Maori names for natural features in the Wairarapa valley and on the coast. Rivers and streams are named. Boundaries of runholders' properties are marked and names include W. Spinks, C. Sharp, G. Scott, M.A. Buxton, J. Taine, F. Burton, G. Moore, M. Hill, Hales & Murch, R. Collins, S.M. Scroggs, Donald and Rhodes, J. Northwood, Smith and Revans, C.R. Bidwill, A. Gillies, R. McMaster, P. Hume, J. Kelly, R. Russell, C. Matthews, Camerons, D. Riddiford, R. Barton. Other Titles - Sketch map of the runs in the Wairarapa and East Coast District. In the title, Wairarapa refers to the valley around Lake Wairarapa, and the East Coast refers to the coast of the Wairarapa district from Cape Palliser to Mataikona.
