Description: South African War memorial, Napier, circa 1940s. Photographer unidentified. Note on back of file print reads "This memorial was unveiled by Lord Plunket KCVO the Governor of NZ in 1906, in honour of the troopers of Hawke's Bay who took part in the South African War. It also plays the part as a memorial to the upheaval that took place some years ago which left the top section very much out of place."
