Description: Thorndon in the foreground, with a gully crossed by a bridge, a house to the right, and a large tree. A man walking up a path towards the bridge and several chopped tree-trunks on the ground. A European cottage with thatched roof and a wooden chimney is in the right foreground. In the middle distance, flat land leading down towards Thorndon Quay with the backs of houses along the beachline.
