Description: Dense native bush in the foreground, including tree ferns, possibly Tinakori Hill or Wadestown, with a view of the inner harbour, Evans Bay with Cook Strait beyond and a ship in full sail to the right, Point Halswell at the end of Miramar Peninsula in the centre and another sailing ship sailing towards the harbour entrance on the left. The harbour entrance itself is hidden by Miramar Peninsula. Exhibited in 'Wide-Eyed: Early Images of New Zealand' exhibition of works by settler artists, held at the National Library of New Zealand Gallery, 18 July - 9 November 1997.
