(butcher delivers meat to the housewife's door); "Still life" (Scotch whisky bottle and glass); "Auckland Harbour" (no ships tied up by striking workers); "Rice pudding" (good old-fashioned dessert); "Certainly Madam, we'll send them on approval this afternoon" (polite treatment from shop salesman).
