Description: The newly elected mayor of Christchurch, Lianne Dalziel, as a raw recruit runs through explosions, dodging flak. The trainers from their observation tower list further items in the 'boot camp' training: 'backstabbing prevention, CEO salary protection and how to disguise overseas junkets!' Lianne Dalziel, after being elected mayor of Christchurch in October 2013, would find many of the difficulties face by her predecessor, Bob Parker. Description: Nadzeya Ostapchuk, the woman shotput contestant in the London 2012 Olympic Games, claims that she took illegal supplements unknowingly. John Banks says that it was the same for him. He is holding a newspaper headlined 'Mayoral election account'. The cartoonist, as a bird, comments 'We know what we're being fed!'. Ostapchuk was disqualified from her gold medal for taking performance enhancing drugs. She protested her innocence and lack of knowledge that the drugs were illegal. John Banks likewise protested his lack of knowledge of the large donations from Kit Dotcom used to finance his campaign. Description: Shows Social Development Minister Paula Bennett asking ACT MP John Bank whether he meets eligibility conditions to receive a benefit as he stands in the dole queue in a WINZ office. Context: Police released files from their investigation into two $25,000 donations from German multi-millionaire Kim Dotcom and a $15,000 donation from SkyCity towards Banks 2010 Auckland mayoralty campaign, which were all registered as anonymous. Statements from Dotcom show Banks told him: "I want to help you Kim and I can help you more effectively if no-one knows about this donation." They also show Banks twice confirmed he received the donation (Stuff 13 September 2012). Bennett has introduced a bill to change welfare rules so job seekers can be penalised if they fail drug tests and have outstanding arrest warrants (TV3 17 September 2012).
