Mr Carter seems far from stressed and is even thinking of staying in the race for the Labour nomination for his safe Te Atatu seat. Phil Goff expects Mr Carter to be called before the New Zealand Council at its next meeting and the council is expected to back Mr Goff and expel Chris Carter from the party for his disloyalty to the leader. Defence Minister Wayne Mapp said the navy had too much on currently to send one of its two Anzac frigate, and so the waka is being sent instead but the U.N. is worried about their loyalty.
