Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Leonard Willaim Jury, great-great-grandson of the original owner; history of the Jury family. This history was compiled by Len Jury, ca 1985 and includes a history of the farm as well as information about the William Bryan, the Battle of Waireka, reminiscences related to the family and local history. Copy of article by NZ Historic Places Trust entitled `Archaeological investigations: Jury and Autridge farmsteads, Omata' (2007) The original owner was Elizabeth (nee Hoskin) wife of Jesse (Justinian) Jury. She purchased 46 acres of the Omata Block from the Plymouth Company in 1847. The Jury family arrived in New Plymouth on the `William Bryan' in 1841. In 2007 Leonard William Jury and his wife Heather owned the property at Omata and were awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Roger James Cotton; land documents; history of family and property (including `Cotton family' from printed publication (p524)); photographs The original owner of the land in Waipori District (formerly Tuapeka County) was Thomas Dickson who was granted 15 acres by the Crown in 1872. He died in 1873 and the land passed to his widow Margaret (nee Atkinson) who remarried Robert Cotton in 1875. The land was transferred to Robert Cotton in 1891. At the time of the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award in 2005 the farm was owned jointly by brothers Roger James and Stuart William Cotton (great-grandsons of Robert Cotton). Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Walter Dalziel; brief history of the farm and family; marriage certificate for Christopher Dalziel and Mary Anne Wighton, 1866; photographs (see below). The original owner of the land at Tuapeka West (later known as Braewick farm) was Christopher Dalziel who bought 100 acres in 1874. In the 1890s a further 630 acres were acquired. In 2005 the property was owned by Walter Dalziel, with his son Hamish being actively involved in the farm. Awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Quantity: 1 folder(s). His visual work has appeared for several years on the Scoop news website, Salient, and Capital Times. As at 2018, his work was appearing sporadically on Scoop.co.nz, as well as on his own Facebook page. He has also worked as a writer for both radio and television and holds a Masters degree in Public Policy.

The "Korero Hau Kura" set contains posters for the following Maori proverbs: Kia mau ki te aka matua; kei mau ki te aka taepa (Grasp the vine planted in the ground, not the vine from the heavens) He poporo tu ki te hamuti (A cherished one, standing undaunted in adversity) Ka tuhi Kaitangata (A mark of Kaitangata) Hauhake tu, ka to a Matariki (A time to harvest as Matariki sets) Ae ko Hotumauea te tangata nei (Yes indeed this person is Hotumauea) Ka maru koe i toku pureke, he kahu pitongatonga (The hem of my fine cloak will shelter you) Nga Reo o Aotearoa, "Voices of Aotearoa"; a collection of treasured Maori stories, contains posters about the following stories: Arai-te-uru - Canoe which brought Rongo-i-tua and his people to New Zealand. It was wrecked at Matakaea and its kumara cargo became the Moeraki boulders. Kahukura - the story of his tricking the patupaiarehe while they were fishing Kuiarau - while bathing in a small lake at Rotorua she was taken by taniwha. Her husband Tamahika asked the gods to kill the taniwha, and they did so by boiling the lake waters. Kaiwhakaruaki - a man-eating taniwha who was killed by warriors near Parapara Golden Bay, after a fight during which he killed many of the warriors. Kua mau i te ao - the story of the naming of Mauao (Mount Maunganui), Puwhenua's mountain suitor who was caught (mau) by the light of day (ao).
