His lecture was to include discussion of evolution, the great Paris telescope, the moon, forecasting the weather, the science of the atmosphere, the wonderland of Australia. All were to be illustrated by "magnificent pictures of the heavens, sun, moon, planets, &c., being splendid! appalling!! and sublime!!!". He was represented by G Victor Beck.
