It shows head and shoulders photographic portraits of Dean J Tubman (responsible for arranging the building of the replacement church in 1911) and Father S Stapleton, the priest in 1961. Perpetual calendar suggests a date of 1917, or 1906. John Binskin advertised a lecture in the Oamaru area on 13 February 1916 (see Oamaru Mail, Volume XLI, Issue 12770, 12 February 1916, Page 5).
