Hannah MacPherson - Film scrapbook

Date: 1923-1925, [1935-1945]

From: North, Allan (Dr), 1908-1982 : Papers

Reference: MSY-4505

Description: Scrapbook of clippings relating to film stars compiled by Hannah MacPherson of Te Whaiti (1935-1945), pasted over much of a ledger of accounts (1923-1925) of Walter Francis North, general storekeeper and draper, of Paeroa. Apparently, a Mr MacPherson was the local policeman, store-keeper and post master at Te Whaiti; his wife was the part-time district nurse. It is probable that Hannah MacPherson was their daughter. It was considered that this ledger may have been one of her father's from the Te Whaiti store but it is unlikely that her father would have allowed this use and the hand-writing is similar to that in the other North ledgers. Quantity: 1 volume(s).
