Description: Photographs of various activities, and group photographs taken at New Zealand Student Christian Movement conferences held in Christchurch, summer 1948-1949, and Auckland, summer 1949-1950. Names of members attending the conferences are fully identified in the group portraits. Some of the small photographs taken by different members have captions, but not all. A number of pages include newspaper cuttings associated with the conference and people involved. Includes an envelope containing nine small photographs of a theatrical production performed at the 1950-1951 conference. There is no identification of the play or cast members. Description: Album recording a motoring and camping holiday through the South Island of New Zealand. This took in the New Zealand South Seas Exhibition in Dunedin and included the West Coast, Otago, and Canterbury. The central part of the album has images of Khandallah, Wellington, and the family home in that suburb. Family photographs include Doug on his Norton Motorcycle, and Jack and Neville similarly posed on a Douglas Motorcycle. Rene and Frank stand at the net holding tennis rackets, and mother has several images with young Joyce. The last part of the album recordes something of a holiday to Auckland where the family camped at Brown's Bay and took a trip to Kawau Island. A group shot on Mt Messanger on the way back and some views of Pukekura Park New Plymouth complete the album Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).

Description: Album of photographs taken by Albert Lyndsay McKenzie, showing Haywards substation, Centennial Exhibition, Union Airways aircraft at Rongotai airport, and views of war memorials, other monuments, some buildings and parks and gardens in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. There are also some scenic views of rivers and landscape, and one photograph of bee keepers at work on hives. Albert Lyndsay McKenzie, the father of the donor, was born in Christchurch. Description: Family photographs relating to the McCurdie family. Many are groups of friends and family, some of whom are identified with both Christian and surnames. These include wedding photographs of Marjorie Whitton who married J.W. Nicolls on March 31, 1921 at Oamaru, with Betty and Mary Whitton as bridesmaids. Several views of homes include Woodcroft (the home of Dr John Kinder), Werneth (a house at Atawhai, Nelson), The Moorings (the home of W. & Lucy Churchward at Springlands, Blenheim), and Stonycroft (home of Mr & Mrs Free, at Masterton). One view is of snow in Christchurch city in July 1918, and one shows decorations in the interior of Dunedin Hospital for the visit of the Prince of Wales in May 1920. Chatham Islands album

Description: Album chiefly shows members of a Lands & Survey team surveying boundaries etc, in the Chatham Islands, and in South Canterbury, circa 1938. Residents of the Chatham Islands, various locations in the islands and activities such as sheep transportation from the islands to Lyttelton and Wellington by ship are shown. Another sequence shows drainage and irrigation procedures in South Canterbury. The photographer is probably Russell Gladstone Dick, later the New Zealand Surveyor-General. Other - Source of descriptive information - Card inserted in album which reads "Ample evidence this is a 1938 Lands and Surveys team surveying boundaries etc ...
