Description: The first of three horizontal frames shows a quiet scene with mountains and forest and includes text that reads 'Deep in the woods a creature stirs and sniffs the wind...' The second frame shows a close up of the trunks of forest trees with a sinister figure disappearing into the gloom; it includes text that reads 'Five hundred elderly are trapped in a hall, it can't wait...' The third frame shows Winston Peters making a speech; text reads 'With some difficulty, they give it a rousing standing ovation... and he says 'I'm back, and I'm still angry...' Winston Peters served as Minister of Maori Affairs in the Bolger National Party Government before being sacked in 1991 and losing party endorsement for his Tauranga seat. He returned to Parliament in 1993 as an independent, after defeating Gail McIntosh National MP for Lyttelton and then formed his own party, New Zealand First in July, shortly before the 1993 election when he kept his Tauranga seat as an independent, to be greeted by his elderly devotees, after he was sacked by the National Party and after he won the bye-election but before the launch of NZ First in July. Originally purchased by them in 1994 from a fundraising event being run for Downstage Theatre.
