Description: Panoramic view looking down over the Manawatu River in the foreground. The road (heading from the Woodville Ferry Reserve towards Ashhurst) runs from far left centre past a house. An advertisement for "The new Essex Super Six", 'Andersen & Hansen Service Station' is on the road by the house. The road then crosses a bridge and winds along the curve of the hill on the far side. On the near side of the house there is also a section of railway line which can also be seen on a bend on the right hand side further along in the centre right middle distance. Hills all around except for lower farmland hnear the river across the road from the house. Taken by Robert Percy Moore. Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - Entrance to Manawatu Gorge.
