Description: Photograph of six men and boys in a canoe pulled up on the bank of the Waitotara River with the river in the background, taken January 1923 by Robert E Wells. A researcher has suggested that this is the trip by five St Mary's senior class boys with Mr G H Buckeridge mentioned in the Hawera & Normandy Star 4 January 1923.
