Description: On the summit of a small mountain a group of businessmen delight ('isn't it beautiful') in the 'Dawn of recovery' as they watch a golden '$' symbol rise above the horizon. In a huge trench at the base of the mountain ordinary citizens remain in the dark. Context - The beginnings of recovery for some of the wealthy after the 1987 sharemarket crash that caused many people to lose savings. At bottom of cartoon in pencil is the text 'Listener Sept 23, page 9, reduce to 187 mm x 132 mm, colour, no border'. Quantity: 1 original cartoon(s).
