Description: Sets out the conditions of the contest, in which each contestant was required to wear a "Petone" swimsuit, with the Wellington Woollen Company's name-tab attached. The first prize was a trip to Milford Sound or a cash prize of 10 pounds stirling. Verso displays an advertisement for Nash's Leather Arcade in Cuba street Wellington, sellington "Wellington's smartest handbags"; five handbags are illustrated. Evening Post, 6 January 1936, Page 14 reports that the winner of the contest was Miss Ivy Parrott, with 6453 votes. The runner up was Miss Matheson with 4605 votes. Two copies held.
