Description: The collection consists of two diaries kept by Mary during 1854 and 1858-1859, and letters addressed to her. The largest proportion are written by her future husband, Spenser Mansel Medley and record in detail the progress of their courtship. Other letters were written by Richard Taylor, Mary Caroline Taylor, Elizabeth Marriott and Sarah Selwyn. In addition there are some naval certificates of Spencer Medley. Source of title - Supplied title Mary Catherine Medley was the daughter of Richard Taylor and Mary Caroline Taylor.
