Description: Shows the artist's father, seated in armchair, with a picture of his favourite racehorse, Moy, and a trophy won by the horse in the background. Mr Angus was a well-known racehorse owner from 1958 until his death in 1968. There is a view of Pakipaki, central Hawkes Bay, out the window on the right. The portrait is unfinished. The identification of the view out the window as Pakipaki was from the artist's brother, Mr Quentin Angus. However the scene shows a coastal view with sea, and Pakipaki is inland.
