Description: Some of the hundreds of dancers who attended a dance workshop in Lower Hutt taken by four choreographers from the United States. The group in the photograph (which includes Crystal Griffin on the right) are taking part in a hip-hop dance class. Photographed by Evening Post staff photographer John Nicholson on the 6th of July 1994. The choreographers were Rhonda Miller, Randy Allaire, Jeffrey Amsden, and Phinias Newborn III. Loose papers removed from MSV-1676 and MSV-1679

Description: Papers removed from cases of video cassettes that contain recordings of a field trip to East Futuna in 1995. All papers written by Jennifer Shennan. One paper was removed from the case of MSV-1676. It is entitled '"Futuna Dances 1995"' and appears to note some aspects of the dance event that was recorded on the video. Two papers were removed from the case of MSV-1679. One is labelled 'Futuna Dances 17.12.95' and appears to list aspects of the events recorded, such as 'Pere Soane's first Mass at Poi', 'tapa procession around Rotumans'. The second paper is written in black ballpoint pen and has been annotated with blue ballpoint pen. It notes dances or events and activities that are on the video recording, and provides dates ranging from 10 to 17 December. It also lists place names ('Kolia', 'Leava', 'Poi') which may relate to where the activities were videoed. Title supplied by Library. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
