Description: Map of Otaki, with revisions made in white correcting fluid. The area is from the sea to the racecourse including the Otaki River and the golf links, Otaki Beach, Rangiuru and Otaki Town settlements. Shows the sites of the King George V Memorial Health Camp, several areas of Church Mission Grant land, the Catholic Church Mission Station, Maori Church, pa, memorial to Te Rauparaha, schools, the hospital and sanitorium reserves and a mill. Includes dates when the Catholic Mission Station was opened and dates when the church, presbytery and school were built. Streets and streams are named and the old course of the Otaki River is marked as is the borough boundary and built up areas. A reference key shows numbered sites of interest. Description: A base map of the Porirua - Titahi Bay development area has been used for the subdivision of Kahutea, now called Titahi Bay. A photostatic copy of this cadastral and part topographic map is of the area from Porirua Harbour (near the present day site of Kahutea Terrace), to Whitehouse Road. Numbered sections include acreages and measurements, while some added annotations to the photostatic copy detail the monetary value of these sections. Dates include 1929, 1930, 1940, 1941, 1946, 1947. One section is marked as occupied. The Porirua - Titahi Main Road (bitumen) and Whitehouse Road are named. The subdivision includes un-named roads with details of gradients. Substantial handwritten notes refer to Deposited Plan 9621, sold and unsold sections, those with sea frontage and others with large areas of land.
