Description: Part two of a two-part view of Paeroa. It shows mostly commercial buildings, a few houses, a church and the business premises of James McAndrew & Company Ltd (Timber merchants), centre right. There is a bowling green in the centre foreground, and trees in the distance beyond the road. Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer. For part one see APG-1777-1/4. Note in the Godber Accessions List "From Evening Post Collection" Part of a collection of images relating to the Thames and Hauraki areas (from APG-1772-1/2 to APG-1779-1/2). The location was identified from a building on the extreme left of this image, which links with the one on the extreme right of the first negative. Identification of place from Wise's Post Office Directory (1914 edition), which lists James McAndrew & Company. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s). Description: Part one of a two-part view of ribbon-development along the road through Paeroa. It shows mostly commercial buildings, a few houses, and a church in the foreground. There is a field in the immediate foreground, and trees and fields with a few houses in the distance beyond the road. Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer. For part two see APG-1778-1/4. Note in the Godber Accessions List "From Evening Post Collection" Part of a collection of images relating to the Thames and Hauraki areas (from APG-1772-1/2 to APG-1779-1/2). Description: East end of Waiuta township looking west. Photographed by Joseph Divis some time in the 1930s. Source of descriptive information - Historical notes from Library client. House right of centre was lived in by a mining manager. It was screened by trees that were spared when others were cut down. On right, past the steam, is the staff tennis court.
