Other - Dated from print in Turnbull Library Pictures Evening Post illustrations file Te Whanau a Te Ngarara are the descendents of the original owners of land taken in 1939 by proclamation under the Public Works Act 1928 for the construction of what is now Paraparaumu Airport. The Avion Terrace land was sold by Paraparaumu Airport Limited to a property developer without first being offered back to the descendents of the original owners.
