Description: Plate 77, volume 3 of an illustrated Italian publication. An upper plate shows a Maori man from the Far North District, one arm stretched out, with another figure, supposedly a woman (in fact a boy) to the right. A lower plate shows a group of Tongan women dancing, observed by the seated Queen Tine to the right. Both views are based on engravings by Piron from J. J. H.
