Description: Broadsheet quoting the reception by the press in New Zealand and overseas, of the American performer Stephen C Massett; this complements his book "Drifting about"; or "What Jeems Pipes of Pipesville saw-and-did; an autobiography" (New York, Carleton, 1863). Mr Massett is said to be the American composer, elocutionist and reader, and author of popular songs: "Sunset", "My bud in Heaven". Mr Stephen Massett performed in New Zealand in 1878.
