Description: Shows a stretch of a stream flowing in an area of native bush with a small amount of cleared grass and a tree stump in the left foreground. This sketch relates to others in John Pearse's scrapbook at E-455-f-038, and E-455-f-043, nos 1 and 4. The inscription on the verso that mentions the "rude carving outside Petone Pa" refers to a sketch at E-455-f-043 no 2.
