The 1875 cards are lithographed by W C Wilson, Auckland, and the 1880 card is lithographed by Herald litho. Note from a descendant, Jean Erbacher (28 October 2008), indicates that A Gillespie is likely to have been Mr Alexander Gillespie, the head gardener at Government House in Auckland at that time.
