Description: The Lodge claims to be the oldest in New Zealand, started at Thames in 1872. Others were formed later in NZ and earlier in Australia. A NZ Grand Council was started in 1880 with eight lodges. In 1978 the Society split into three to reduce administrative costs and negotiations were made to transfer the records to ATL. A record of the British aircraft carrier Indefatigable when it visited Wellington in November 1945. New Zealand houses and a very good wedding breakfast laid out in a private interior of the 1890s. There is a photograph of the Clift house in Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, and of a Christmas gathering at a house in Patanga Crescent associated with the Holm family of the Holm shipping line. The Oroua Team were the winners and their names were Allan Strang (no 1), J Strang (no 2), O Robinson (no 3), and W Strang (no 4). The Wharerangi team were the runners up and their names were S Peacock (no 1), A Bennett (no 2), S Bennett (no 3) and S Bennett (no 4) (same image as in PAColl-6075-31).
