Description: The collection comprises part of a diary kept by William Rolleston, with transcription by Louise Rolleston, on his arrival in New Zealand in Nov 1858, in which he describes the Dunedin and Christchurch areas. Also includes letter from Frank Rolleston to his mother, Mary Rolleston, after his brother, Hector, went to the South African War in 1900; and letter from Frank Rolleston to Mrs Gee with family news and condolences for her husband's illlness (1946).
