Inscribed with name `E. G. Jublin , Little River' on back of print, but does not appear to be creator of collection. Original caption for this view reads: `This Pass, the highest on the line of the coach road between Christchurch and the West Coast, is 3300 feet high. The descent from the Pass through the Otira Gorge to the Teremakau River, brings under notice some of the wildest and most romantic scenery on the route'.
