Description: Six-panelled account of the popularity of dolphin Pelorus Jack in Pelorus Sound in the 1890s (until 1912) and of the dolphin Opo at Opononi in Northland in 1956. These illustrations were reproduced in New Zealand newspapers during the late 1940s and early 1950s. The newspapers included The Evening Post, Auckland Star, Christchurch Star Sun, Taranaki Herald, Southern Cross, Students' Digest, Greymouth Evening Star, Evening Star (Sports) Dunedin, and the Southland Daily News.
