Description: Cadastral map of Evans Bay to Kilbirnie, also to Constable and Owen streets, Newtown, Wellington. The area includes the coastline with Patent Slip and proposed jetties near Belvedere Road to Rodrigo Road, Kilbirnie. Numbered sections include acreages and some sites of houses. Description: Survey map showing subdivisions of Pt. 3c, Akura Block, Block IV Tiffen, situated 3 km north of Masterton, Southern Wairarapa, between Waiopoua and Waingawa rivers. Shows the first subdivisions into 3c 1, 3c 2, 3c 4. 3c is shown bounded by 3b to the left and 3a, d and b to the left and 5 1 below. Akura no.2 is to the right. The name Akura means 'entrance to a fortified pa'. Shows two roads, Akura Road and Kibblewhite Road. Part 3c specifies the location of the urupa (17) or cemetery on the roadside of Kibblewhite Road. Also specifies five subdivisions or lots of land on Pt 3c 4 (1100 each) belonging to members of the Karaitiana family: Waha o te Rangi Karaitiana, Ote ne Kuku Karaitiana, Arawhita Karaitiana and Te Ouai Karaitiana. Description: Cadastral map showing area 9 miles south of Tauranga, from the Ruahihi Bridge bordering the Kumi Kumi land blocks on the west and the Kaimai and the Tauwharawhara on the east. The Mangapapa River is shown, along with the Mangakarengorengo, Ngaumuwahine and Manga Hurengorengo Streams. Most of the land blocks indicate their acreage. In the Whaitikuranui no. 6b block, diagram and text which reads 'Thames Valley Co. Station Homestead'. The road or track from Cambridge (Okoroire) to Tauranga is shown to be 31 miles. A pencil annotation shows the Ongaonga no. 2 block and the Kumi Kumi no. 1 block (up to the Ngaumuwahine Stream) subdivided. The map has pencil and some ink annotations. Description: Drawn on a base map of the Waipawa Borough, the annotations depict properties with block number, acreage, Crown grant reference numbers and names of purchasers. The properties vary in size from 10 to 30 acres, and are made up of several streets of suburban sized sections. The names are Robert Mixer Skeet, James Fougere, Thomas Dawson Triphook and Edward George Wright, Louis Noel Du Noyer, William Fannin, Frederick Sedgwick Abbott, Christopher Lockyer, Thomas Gill, Allan MacMaster, Algernon Gray Tollemache. Description: Copy of an 1870 cadastral map of land blocks within the Manawatū-Wairarapa Block, from the Tararua Ranges eastwards to the Puketoi Range and Castle Point Block. Blocks indicate name, number and acreage, and include Kaihinu, Pahiatua, Te Pukahu, Mongorongo, Eketāhuna, Ngatapu, Ihuraua, Manawatū, Mangahauo, Puketoi, Tautane, Makure. Two blocks include note 'not passed the [Native Land] Court' (Kaihanga, Mangahao no. 3; 7,000 acres and Puketoi no. 6; 3,200 acres). Includes annotations such as the addition of Mangakao no. 2 block in 1881. Includes names of rivers, streams. Description: A base map of Block V, Westmere S.D. has been used to detail the town section 103 to be developed by John T. Williams. The plan for the section includes a cottage, stable and two sheds. The orchard, garden, passage and yard are named, include measurements in feet and inches, and notes about a 'crooked delanidated picket fence' and 'buried in dense growth of trees and shrubs'. The adjacent section No. 102, includes the names W.J. Vowles and J.A.S. McDonald, owner and occupier, while section No. 104 has the names Mrs. M.V. Soulby, owner, and Williams, occupier. The section to the rear has the name Mrs. Ellen Cullinane, owner and occupier. A note written on bottom right of map gives information about survey posts, pegs and no excess claimed for this section. Description: Cadastral map, maker not identified. Shows the coastline and country inland of southern Hawkes Bay, between the Pōrangahau River and the Whangaehu River on the coast, bounded by the edge of the Tautane land block in the south and inland to the Mangaorapa Stream in the west. Numbered land blocks are shown along the Pōrangahau River from the coastline and inland, including the outlined Pōrangahau township. Shows acres in numerical format, some river names and place names and numerous Māori names. Broken and unbroken black lines indicate boundary lines of land blocks and the land area is marked with numerical and alphabetical figures in black, red and blue ink. A red line is marked on the map in a south to north direction, near the name Kohu.o.tu in the south and Waioheke in the north. Circles in red ink with numbers next to them are also shown. Description: Survey map with cadastral information, of part section 9, Block 12, Belmont Survey District, (Porirua County District), which was designated a Native (Maori) reserve. The section runs east of the old Porirua Road, southeast of Johnsonville and includes part of the old course of the Upper Ngauranga River. A road runs through the middle of the section. A long thin area of 29 acres running across the middle of the section is highlighted, with the name 'Enoka Hohepa and others (including roads)' written on it. This area has been skewed slightly (the previous highlight is faintly shown). North of the highlighted area is named part section number 9, 'Mere Pawa and others'. The remaining part of the section below the highlighted area bears no name. The faintly highlighted area includes the note: subdivision number 3 of section numbers 7 and 9. Government trigs and government blocks are identified in the survey. Stamped Survey Office Wellington 4793/7; 24 February 1890. Note on map states map meets regulations of the Survey of Native lands, and that the map has been forwarded to the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
