Description: Hydrographic chart showing the track of the Royal Admiral into and exiting the River Thames, as well as the track of Captain Cook which includes soundings from Mercury Bay, around Cape Colville and inland up the river to Bluff Cliff, and then Cook's exit past Point Rodney, the Leaning Tower and Bream Head along the West entrance. Large block of text named 'remarks' describes safe entry into harbour and best acces to trees for felling. Trees were to be used as spars. Says 'best spars are at Kakramare' elsewhere written on map as 'Krakamare'. Catalogue card: Manuscript made in the 'Royal Admiral'. 'Copy of original acc. B Hooker'. Reverse of map reads: 'Z.1.976'. Quantity: 1 manuscript map(s). Physical Description: Ink and watercolour on paper, linen backed, 41.5 x 62 cm.
