Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Norman Anderson; history of farm ownership; photographs of the farm and family; certificates of title and maps (including plan for the subdivision of the Ashley Downs Estate, 1883); newspaper clipping of diamond wedding celebrations for John and Margaret Anderson. Original owner of the farm at Ashley Downs, Clinton Survey District, was John Anderson who purchased 300 acres in 1883. In 2007 the property was owned by the Delangdale partnership (N R & N M Anderson, J B Anderson and T A Anderson) and farmed by his grandson N R Anderson and great-grandson James. In 2006 the property was awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
