Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Jean Anderson Andrews; land documents; history of the Dunlop farm and farm ownership; printed extract re William and Jane Dunlop (ca 1984) from `Dunlops, William and Jane, Pine Bush, and their family', compiled by Alice Howden, 1985; photographs of the family and homestead. Original owner of the property was William Dunlop (1845-1926) who acquired over 300 acres in the Toes Toes Survey District at Pine Bush between 1867-1874. The land was later farmed by his son David Henry Dunlop (1887-1953), and from 1947 by David's son James (Jim) Wyllie Dunlop (1918-2000). In 1974 the farm was purchased by Ernest James Andrews and his wife Jean Anderson (nee Somerville), cousin to Jim. They have increased the holding to make an economic holding for their two sons. Awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station awards to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
