Description: Arrangement of text, with compartments for clips top and bottom. On school days, the holes have been punched with many differently-shaped punch holes. Text says: "This ticket is issued subject to condition that holder does not occupy a seat when adult passengers are standing in the same compartment". The date "30 Apr 1939" indicates the date after which the ticket is not valid. There are gaps in the ticket punching, indicating that there was no school on 7, 10 11 April, when Good Friday, Easter Monday and Easter Tuesday fell in 1939 (See notice of school holidays in the Wellington District in 1939 in Horowhenua Chronicle, 1 November 1938, page 4). There was also no school on ANZAC Day (25 April).
