Description: Postcard with a photo-mechanical reproduction of a photograph, taken by Webb. It shows three statues by Charles Francis Summers - Susannah surprised by the Elders; Zephyr & Cupid; Baccante and the infant Bacchus - all exhibited at the New Zealand International Exhibition, 1906-1907. Postcard printed by Smith & Anthony Limited, ca 1907 The works were sold by Summers to the commissioners of the Christchurch exhibition. In 1908 the sculptures were purchased by Dept of Tourist & Health Resorts for the Rotorua Bath House. All were sculpted in Carrera marble and are examples of the Neo-Classical style.
