A wreath can be seen laid at the base of the statue. Photograph taken by William A Price, possibly on the death or anniverary of the death of Sir John Logan Campbell, who died in Jun 1912. Auckland. 735 The fountain and statue were erected at the Manukau Road entrance to Cornwall Park by public subscription in appreciation of the donor's generosity.
