Public opinion on Tuku Morgan's behaviour. Maori bashing continues over Tuku Morgan, as Maori hit themselves and ask why he just doesn't resign. Maori occupy land in Waiouru during winter as temperatures hit a low. They are protesting against the wild horse mustering? Winston Peter's accepts Tuku Morgan's apology and assumes the moral high ground. International study shows kiwi kids poor at maths but good at bullying. Description: Photographs of and relating to the Wilson family ex Eketahuna. William M Wilson was born in Glasgow in 1868, coming to New Zealand when 8 years of age. He was apprenticed to John Fitchett, coach builder in Wellington, then with other firms including Rouse & Hurrell. He was employed by Wilfred Woolf in Eketahuna in 1894, and subsequently bought his business, and entered the firm of Kibblewhite and Wilson. See Cyclopedia of New Zealand, Wellington Provincial District, Eketahuna. Includes dwellings; carriages; group outings and portraits; 1 of the Club Hotel of F D Pelling; 3 of the Ryan family at Tawa Flat; 1 of a house at Island Bay, 1 of a thatched whare at Plimmerton, a Ghuznee St boarding house; 2 relating to the Burnett family; 2 scenes in Manakau; 1 of D A Greenlees store; 2 of Rarotanga; 2 relating to the business of Lyon & Blair, steam printers and lithographers; 1 of a group outside a house in Eastbourne; 3 relating to the Manson family; 1 of a military camp in New Zealand in preparation for the South African War. Description: Loose photographs extracted from album (PA1-o-1549). Includes photographs of a hill climbing sports car event, sports car club meeting, Wellington beaches, Wellington suburbs and housing developments, and the construction of a house. Mr Hird was an electrical designer, involved in the development of television, designing radios for Sir Edmund Hillary in Antarctica, and was apparently in radio surveillance in WW2. His father taught at Seatoun school. Mr Hird lived most of his life in the house at Mantell Street. See 'Freedom' newspaper, 25 Nov 1953, p.6 re his involvement in developing television. Jim Anderton leads his followers to another promised land shown as a high wire that's going nowhere. As President George W Bush calls for Israel to withdraw from Palestine, a dog (Ariel Sharon) urinates on his leg. President Bush tries to mediate peace negotiations betweem Arafat and Sharon. A septic tank is on daily call to clean up the mess in the Alliance Party caucus. Two coffins are carried by pallbearers. The first contains the body of the Queen Mother, the second, the remains of Helen Clark's plans for a Republic. Bill English hears the news that Helen Clark has enough support to rule for life. Comment on Helen Clark's involement in signing art works that she didn't paint. Graham Murries coaching career is resurected following the Hurricanes win over the Brumbies. The NZRFU offer the two executives who negotiated the World Cup Host contracts a gun and two bullets to end their misery. Israeli tanks crush the Palestinian Refugee Camp in an effort to end the cycle of hate.
