Description: Three illustrations by Ashworth from his sketch books and journals. One is captioned "My town house in Auckland, New Zealand" and is from MS-0103-0106 Journal 1842-1844; the second is captioned "Native settlement Tipitai Manukao (sic) Hr New Zealand" from A208/10; and the last is of Government House, New Zealand above (E-042-030/031) and a panorama of Kororarika (sic), Bay of Islands below (E-042-030-a/031-a). Pompalier House is in the centre of the section, above the beachline, with its garden in front of it, sloping down the hill. The American flag is flying towards the left by the home of the American Consul, James Reddy Clendon.
