Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Sophie Dibley; farm history (told by E J Dibley & M S Dibley); newspaper and magazine articles; extract from `The Karl story' re Charles Karl; certificates of title; map of the farm; photographs of the farm and family. The original owner of the land at Oturoa Road, RD 2, Rotorua was Charles Karl who purchased 245 acres in 1887. A D (Doug) Dibley bought the farm off his father-in-law in Jul 1929. It was passed onto his son E (Eddie) J Dibley and his wife Shirley. In 2005 the property was owned by Charles Karl's great-grandson Mark Dibley & his wife Sophie. Awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
