Description: The owner of the 'Corner Liquor Store' ushers from his shop two small boys who have tried to buy liquor by the ruse of having one sit on the shoulders of the other and both wearing a large overcoat. The boy on top shouts 'We would have got away with it if you hadn't reached out for a bottle!' A sign outside the shop reads 'STOP! Age limit now 20 - if you aren't, go to the pub'. Context - Refers to the changes to the liquor laws that are supposed to tackle the problem of young binge drinkers. Critics believe it falls short of its stated intent particularly because it does not increase the price of alcohol. National MPs were given a conscience vote and the result is a split alcohol purchase age of 18 in a pub but 20 in a store. Quantity: 1 digital cartoon(s).
